23x16cm portrait of Knights cross holder Walter Marienfeld

Large size 23x16cm portrait of Knights cross and DKIG holder Oberst Walter Marienfeld. Private photo taken at his desk with most of the awards nicely visible. Marienfeld was awarded the KC as commander of Kampfgeschwader 54 on 27.11.1941 and awarded the German cross in gold on 23.12.1942. Photos of Marienfeld are difficult to find as the died during an accident in 1944. Remains in excellent condition.
