Wound badge in gold – L/18 B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim. Late war solid zinc wound badge with crimped in catch and hinge knows as the ‘pillow crimp’, with L/18 mark under the catch. Remains in lightly worn condition and has the gilding migrated into a typical silvery appearance. Rare and difficult to find gold grade of the L/18 zinc.
