Wound badge in silver – L/55 Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida. Mid to late war zinc wound badge with copper coating and silver plated finish on top. Crimped catch with 100 PkZ mark on the crimp and integral hinge. Remains in lightly worn condition with minimal bright silver finish missing. More uncommon variant with the lower center mark L/55 and 100 on the crimped catch. Excellent preserved example and these are said to be made in the Gablonz area for W&L by an unknown Gablonz maker, due to large dump holes found near the factories in the past.
