U-boat badge – Otto Schickle, Pforzheim. Early tombac U-boot Kriegsabzeichen with gilded finish. Remains in lightly worn condition with most of the gilding still present. Schickle variation with all 4 arms of the swastika cut out. Sometimes marked L/52 by Zimmermann and referred to as the Zimmermann version. Top quality badge with excellent hand finishing.
