SS cap SS-Hauptsturmführer Otto Kröger

SS cap SS-Hauptsturmführer Otto Kröger. Salty converted Heer cap with SS Deschler skull in zinc from the Otto Kröger grouping. Remains in salty condition on the outside with moth eaten wool on both sides. The inside remains in fairly good condition and Deschler skull sits nicely on the cap with both prongs intact and some of the finish present. This cap was originally with the Kröger-Kment group and is seen worn on a copy of the picture attached. Mr. Stiles sold this cap about 10 years ago and it has been in a collection since. Kröger was with the SS Deutschland and it was not uncommon for SS soldiers from the VT to wear converted Heer pieces.
