Iron cross first class – Walter & Henlein, Gablonz

Iron cross first class – Walter & Henlein, Gablonz. Mid to late war three piece construction screw back cross with typical W&H finish, anti rotation pin hole and frame. Remains in worn condition and shows a part of the paint damaged. It more or less chipped off the core. Very uncommon cross that was also found in large numbers near the factory, which were dumped just before most makers turned to Neu-Gablonz in Bavaria as part of the German exodus in the east.
