Infantry assault badge in silver – Vienna design ”pillow crimp”

Infantry assault badge in silver – Vienna design ”pillow crimp”. Mid to late war solid Zink construction with unique pillow crimp set up. Remains in lightly worn condition and still has most of the bright ‘Glanzverzinkt’ finish still present on the badge. Some unknown red residue on some spots, but this has been encountered before on some badge. Unknown maker but most likely made by B.H. Mayer due to other badge found in Vet lots with L/18 marks and the same style of crimping.
