AWS Grand cross 1914

AWS Grand cross 1914. Very rare so called display piece or “Ausstellungs Stück” from Albert Werner & Söhne. Three piece construction cross with iron pebbled core, typical for AWS, period silver unmarked loop and ribbon that is most likely period as well. Extremely rare cross that was used to display in stores to represent the Grand cross 1914 that was awarded only 5 times. Remains in excellent condition and shows some wear on the silver finished frame and blackened core.
