Small award grouping to Hauptmann Hans-Joachim Strömpel, chef 3./Pzj. Abt. 150. The grouping costs of the award documents for the Krim shield, Ek1 and ost medal. The docs remain in good condition and all three have two holes on the right side. Strömpel became commander of Pzj abt 1190 in dec 44, this unit was attached to the 190 Inf Div and was deployed in the Reichswald area, Dutch border area between Kleve(germany) and Venlo after operation ‘Market Garden’. The division pulled back into the Ruhr Pocket and was encircled by the Allied forces in the ‘Ruhr Kessel’ March 45.
The last picture contains the career history of Strömpel. Strömpel was awarded his Ek1 for the short time he spent with the second kompanie of the Pzj. Abt. 150 which consisted of 4-5 Marder Selbstfahrlafette in jan/feb 44.
