German cross in gold cased – MM20 C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Mid to late war light weight cupal back plate Zimmermann design cross. Has the 20 PkZ mark under the pin and the typical Zimmermann Flaw on the 11 O’clock arm of the star burst outer wreath. Remains in stunning mint condition with perfectly preserved unscratched enamel. The tombac gold wreath shows full gilding and the reverse retained the silver finish perfectly. Comes with the matching case in equally fine condition, having the full gold band and almost no wear to the outside. Top ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’ set!
