German cross in gold – Gebr. Godet & Co, Berlin. Mid war light weight cupal back plate ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’ with 6 rivets and Maker mark 21 under the pin. Remains in beautifully worn condition, with some of the black finish worn down ont he outer starburst exposing the tombac base layer giving it more contrast. The gilded wreath shows good wear with some of the gilding still present, Swastika shows some slight damage near the bottom edge of the center but doesn`t look all to bad, The white backing shows a slight patina with still bright silver showing. More uncommon 21 Godet cross in nicely worn condition.
