Luftwaffe paratrooper badge – Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. Early paratrooper badge with silvered tombac wreath and gilded tombac eagle. Remains in well worn condition with very old an crude replaced catch. Shows extensive wear and saw lots of action. Shows the silver plated finish still on the wreath with most of the burnishing worn down and lost most of the gilding on the eagle. A badge with lots of character and priced far lower because of the repaired catch.
