Wound badge in gold – Deschler/Wiedmann ‘Übergrosse’

Wound badge in gold – Deschler/Wiedmann ‘Übergrosse’. Early war tombac wound badge with Deschler/Wiedmann design and typical Wiedmann setup. Remains in salty condition with nearly all the finish missing and a oxidized surface. Was most likely stored very poorly and only retains some of the finish on the reverse and setup. None the less a uncommon and sought after variant.
