War merit cross with swords 2nd class cased – L/16 Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid. Early to mid war tombac construction ‘Kriegsverdienstkreuz’ with L/16 mark in the ring. Remains in stunning mint condition and with the extremely rare LDO mark nicely visible. Comes with a matching LDO 2nd pattern case in equally fine condition, the paper hinge flap is still intact and the inside has a clean and deep blue color.
