The Knight’s Cross for a Dutchman.
The Führer awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross to the 19-year-old SS-Sturmmann Gerardus Mooyman, gun commander in the anti-tank company of the Volunteer Legion “Netherlands.”
Knight’s Cross holder Mooyman is the first volunteer from the Germanic countries to be awarded this high decoration.
