Soldbuch Panzerschütze Pzbrigade 113 & PzKorps GD

Soldbuch Panzerschütze . Was with the Panzer Ersatz Abteilung 35 and Stammkp. Pz.Ers.u.Aus. Abt 25. He worked for the Werkstattkompanie during mid war and was drafted into the Panzer-abteilung 2113 in september 1944. After its formation they turned into the Panzerbrigade 113. The unit was put to action in the Luneville area in Lotharingen attached to the 19 Armee. On the 1 of okt the unit hat to withdraw as it was completely dug in. After the retreat parts of the brigade came to Panzer-Korps ”Grossdeutschland”, the Grossdeutschland entrie is made on page 17. It took till after the 12th of Jan to refit the unit that was put under command of the 4th Panzerarmee. The unit held out near Görlitz and Bautzen where they broke through the lines. Even though they manged to breakthrough they could not reach Berlin and had to move south towards Prag. Here the unit surrendered to the US troops at the end of the war.
Interesting Soldbuch with good endkampf panzer history to it. I did a quick unit research, but with all the information on these units(especially GD) a more detailed story should be able to be found through better research.
The soldbuch was denazified but remains in good condition. Sadly no awards entries where made. Nice late war soldbuch with portrait picture of the soldier.
