Lw KC with oak leaves recipient Karl-Gottfried Nordmann

Postcard size portrait of Oberst Karl-Gottfried Nordmann. Very sharp looking portrait with leather hauptmann Luftwaffe jacket and knights cross with oak leaves in wear. Nordmann is credited with 78 aerial victories and has flown over 800 combat missions. He was commander of the successful Jagdgeschwader 51 and was the 35th to receive the oak leaves on 16.9.1941. Given the rank on the uniform this picture is taken somewhere around the first half of 1942. Has one small white scratch in the middle but remains in very good condition. On period Agfa photo paper.
