Luftwaffe paratrooper badge – Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. Late war die 1 injection mold zinc Assmann wreath with silver finished Assmann marked eagle. Remains in lightly worn to unworn condition with still most of the silver finish present on the front. At some point in the production line Assmann also started to finish their eagles silver, something that can be observed with more makers. Integral catch and hinge are nicely intact. Very appealing piece.
