Luftwaffe officer`s visor cap – named A. Becker. Well worn visor cap with bullion hand embroidered insignia, bullion piping in well worn condition, black visor and faded makers mark on the inside. The buckram/linnen coated sweatband is still fully intact with moderate wear to the edges. On the inside it is named A. Becker, which from research most likely must have been fighter pilot Oberleutnant Arno Becker, who served with the Stab I/JG-1 (5/40), Stfkpt 8/JG-27 (10/40), f 109E-7 Werk # 4185 “Black 1” (or Blk 2) (lost 4/6/41) and has the following with his name.

KilledInAction (KIA) 6 April, 1941 during aerial combat with a Hurricane at Rupel Pass, west of Gefyroudi Romania. One known victory, his 1st, a Morane 406 over Amiens, 20 May, 1940, a Lt at the time. Added: Believed sd by S/L Thomas St.John Pattle.
