Luftwaffe observer badge – C.E. Juncker, Berlin. Early war and very rare J2-J3 finish variant made with both a tombac wreath and eagle, finished with a thin silver finish. Remain in lightly worn condition with some of the finish worn down on the eagle and nearly full present on the wreath. Shows only a slight patina and retained the bright silver appearance nicely. Normally found with a thicker plating and thick blacking on the eagle. This example being an interesting variation with a very thin and more gun blue blackening that has not held well on the thin silver plating. Top rarity in excellent condition!
