Knights cross of the iron cross to Oberleutnant Gerhard Zonewitz
Knights cross of the iron cross to Oberleutnant Gerhard Zonewitz. Early war three piece construction ‘Ritterkreuz’ with Steinhauer & Lück Lüdenscheid design and their early micro 800 mark. Remains in well worn condition with lots of wear to the core and some of the black finish worn down. Shows little to no rust on the exposed areas of the core and still has some good lightly patinated frosting on the frame. Comes with correct 800 stamped loop and equally worn ribbon. The ribbon shows sings of having had suspension for wearing around the neck but this part is not present. Comes with a picture of Zonewitz wearing the KC and a photo copy of the award document that was original present, singed by Walther von Brauchitsch.
An early knights cross with loads of character and a real has been there appearance.
