Iron cross first class – MM24 Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart. Three piece construction cross with Fritz Zimmermann frame and core. Remains in worn condition and has good part of the paint missing as well as some rust on the core. Frame is nicely patinated and shows a good dark color. Extremely rare and special variant maker marked 24 on the reverse for F. Zimmermanns LDO mark missing the L/, but a true Fritz Zimmermann in all parts. Probably the rarest marked Ek1 out there with only a hand full known to exist.
