Iron cross first class (EK1) – Rudolf Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida. Early war unmarked W&H EK1 + case. The three piece construction cross remains in well worn condition with the swastika paint being fully worn down. The glossy lacquer on the arms shows a couple cracks and scratches, but has held its paint and color. Good Vaulted appearance to the cross. The case remains in very good condition with no damage to the outside. On top the white cross has faded and this was possibly done on purpose for what ever reason this may be, as there was never a swastika. The inside remains in comparable condition with only a couple small black dots on the back side. Cross fits perfectly with its vaulted appearance.
Heavy cross with a good combat look. No damage or repairs.
