Infantry EM/NCO visor cap – Kurt Schulz, Pirna

Infantry EM/NCO visor cap – Kurt Schulz, Pirna. Private purchased ‘Infanterie Schirmmütze’ with Kurt Schulz maker on the inside. Shows both aluminum insignia originally attached and with a somewhat greenish matching patina, all prongs intact. The cap is thick wool construction with a very light brown liner that is still soft and easily bendable. Has no separation and remains nicely stitched to the cap. Seems to have had a name or unit which was removed. The leather strap is somewhat unexpected for a private purchased cap(normally officer) but clearly shows it has been on there for a very long time. Has the white wool piping in excellent condition. It hardened slightly and shows some cracks near the black buttons. Has 2 or 3 small moth holes but besides that an excellent high quality cap.
