Infantry assault badge in silver – “pillow crimp”. Mid to late war solid zinc ‘Infanterie Sturmabzeichen’ with ‘glanzverzinkt’ finish. Remains in lightly worn condition with most of the finish still present and a good bright shine to the factory polished front. Has a slightly curved appearance with a very sharp Vienna design that has been linked to B.H. Mayer.
