Infantry assault badge in silver – Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen. Hollow zinc IAB with G.B. design and the silver finish faded into a grey/black look. Remains in only lightly worn condition and was treated with Vaseline at some point in time. The badge almost has a bronze like appearance, but IMO this is a silver grade. Most refer to this variant as the ‘Egghead’ design.
