German cross in gold – MM20 C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim(heavy). Early war tombac back plate ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’ with PkZ mark 20 under the pin and the typical Zimmermann flaw barely visible, indicating an early production. Remains in good worn condition with still nicely bright finish on the reverse, slightly curved shape and some wear to the black enamel swastika. The outer start burst wreath shows nice wear on the higher area`s giving it good contrast with the black finish. White backing is slightly patinated and remains full uncleaned. Very nicely worn heavy Zimmermann!
