German cross in gold – MM20 C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Mid to late war cupal back plate light weight ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’ with PkZ 20 mark under the pin and typical Zimmermann die flaw at the 11 O’Clock arm. Remains in unworn near mint condition with beautiful gilded tombac wreath and still fully black outer wreath. The enamel remains in perfect mint condition with no scratching or cracks. The white backing of the swastika only shows a very slight patina here and there. Stunning minty example!
