German cross in gold cased – MM134 Otto Klein, Hanau. Mid to late war ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’ with cupal back plate and flaw at the 11 O’clock position of the black outer wreath. Maker marked with the 134 mark on the reverse and with all 4 rivets perfectly intact. Remains in unworn mint condition with beautiful bright silver finish, perfect undamaged or unscratched enamel swastika and gold finished wreath. Comes with the matching Zimmermann/Klein case, shows little to no wear on the outside and has the gold band still nicely showing the full color going all the way around. The inside remains in equally good condition with only the filth surface of the inlay starting to lose its surface, which is often the case with these later mid war inlays. Top set!
