General assault badge tombak – Unknown maker

General assault badge by a still unknown maker. Early hollow Tombak construction with directly soldered catch. The badge has been stored in a very bad way and shows signs of pitting and oxidation. The badge was treated with some sort of brown and fatty substance. All though the condition of this early GAB it remains a clear example of the unknown maker 1, without damage or repairs. Cheaper alternative for the early GAB.
