General assault badge numbered 75 – Josef Felix & Söhne, Gablonz. Late war zinc two piece construction ‘Allgemeinessturmabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 75’ and JFS makers mark on the wreath. Zinc blackened eagle with aluminum rivets attached to the zinc wreath with gilded finish. Remains in unworn but ground dug condition and came from a find in the Halbe pocket, a location at which more numbered assault badges have been found. This example has the wreath excellently preserved with nearly all the finish remaining, the more passive finish on the eagle started to oxidize before the wreath due to the quality of the finish. For sure one of the best ground dug GAB 75 ever found.
