First pattern wound badge – Unknown maker

First pattern wound badge – Unknown maker. Early wound badge with first pattern design made from either nickel silver or ‘whitened’ tombac. Remains in totally cleaned condition and hard to judge if this was a black or silver example. Very sharp design with a good look even in fully cleaned and polished condition.
