First pattern wound badge in black – Unknown maker. Early tombac wound badge with 1918 helmet design and swastika added to the design. Remains in lightly worn condition and shows most of the black finish still on the badge. Beautiful wear pattern with the tombac base material exposed on the high spots. Quality badge.
