Ek2 Wiederholungsspange 1st pattern – Otto. Schickle, Pforzheim. Tombac first variant of the Schickle Ek2 repeat clasp. The two prong spange is attached to the ribbon and has a piece of green Wehrmacht cloth sewn over the prongs to protect them. The ribbon with spange is uniform removed and has retained its original shape. Recent study has showed that these spange are not made by Boerger & Co, due to the different prongs and slightly different design. The connection made with Schickle rather than Boerger & Co is fully examined and described on GCA(see links). The two prongs are vertically soldered over the middle of the spange and remain free of damage or repairs. Nicely worn early Schickle spange with still some nice frosting remaining.
