Hauptmann Wilhelm Stünkel was a city/village commander in world war 2. O.K I means he was part of the command of medium to large city behind the front and had to take care of all supplies, units, infrastructure, Partisan information, locals, etc. Stünkel was under command of the military leadership in France and was sent to the city of Reschetilowka(Ukraine) in 1941, after its formation in Schlesien . Here he was part of Sicherungs-division 213 army group south and this unit was attached to the 6 Army. Both KvK1 documents are awarded on the 20th op april 1943 (A.H. Birthday). One being particularly interesting having the signature of Knights cross with oak leaves holder Karl-Adolf Hollidt, Paulus his successor after the encirclement at Stalingrad. Later in 1944 the area was back in soviet hands with as result the disbanding of the unit.
Please note the Göring signature is a stamped version!
Very interesting set with both a Luftwaffe and Heer singed KVK1 on the same date.
