Army paratrooper badge – C.E. Juncker, Berlin. Mid to late war ‘Fallschirmschützenabzeichen des Heeres’ with zinc type 2 eagle and wreath. Remains in worn condition with the finish on the eagle patinated and showing a brown dark color from the silver finish in combination with the tombac coating. The wreath has also patinated and shows some light wear. With a few surface oxidation spots here and there, but no real damage. The reverse was slightly treated with some Vaseline at some point giving it a bit of a glossy appearance. Rivets are tight.
Very difficult to find paratrooper badge and for once one that was most likely worn in the field by one of the Elite Heer paratrooper units.
