Panzer assault badge – Otto Schickle, Pforzheim

Panzer assault badge in silver – Otto Schickle, Pforzheim. Early hollow tombak piece with the schickle design. The badge remains in nicely worn condition with some tombak showing through and good signs of wear. The finish has stayed bright giving it a bit of a glimmer in the sun. This piece features the very early round wire  catch, which is far more difficult to find than the later machine milled C shaped catch. Imo the piece has not been polished. No damage or repairs. A very nice early panzer badge!
