German cross in gold – C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Early heavy ‘Deutsches Kreuz in gold’ with tombac back plate and wreath with 11 O`clock die flaw. Remains in nicely worn condition and shows some scratches on the enamel swastika. The bright backing has developed a typical darkish patina which matches with the cross. This early variant has the directly soldered catch and is marked 20 under the pin. Untouched early DK in good worn condition.
