Numbered general assault badge 75 – C.E. Juncker, Berlin POR

Numbered general assault badge 75 – C.E. Juncker, Berlin. Late war semi-hollow ‘Allgemeines sturmabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 75’ with riveted eagle. Second variation with round wire catch and aluminum rivets. Tombac numbers box with typical small Juncker numbers and no rivet sticking through like seen on the earlier type. Remains in unworn condition and retained most of the gold finish on the front and back. The lacquer like finish on the eagle has turned more greyish but can still be seen on the badge.
This piece was recently acquired from a US veteran before it was sold to us and has never been in a collection before. Most likely traded or taken from a shop in 1945 as so few of these awards were ever awarded let alone worn in the field. A truly rare Assault badge that only comes up for sale every so many years and is more than 15-20 times rarer than the JFS 75.
