German cross in gold – MM20 C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim

German cross in gold – MM20 C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Mid to late war light weight(cupal) version of the Zimmermann german cross in gold. Remains in well worn condition with a beautiful wear pattern to the wreath and a still intact enamel swastika with light scratches. The silver back of of the swastika has retained the color well and only shows light surface patina. The 4 rivets are still intact and the pin is maker marked 20 underneath.
The back has inscription that was scratched in reads Meran 28.10.44. Which is for the city of Merano in Nothern Italy.
