Feldgendarmerie visor cap

Feldgendarmerie visor cap. Excellent looking orange piped ‘Schirmmütze’ for a Feldgendarmerie EM/NCO. Base construction is made of German Tricot, wool orange piping and green wool band, has early aluminium insignia. Remains in overall very good condition with bright colors, only some wear and very slight moth damage to the out side. Shows proper wear on the inside with slight damage to the sweat band and diamond on the lining. Very uncommon and good looking cap that kept its shape nicely.
