War merit cross with swords 1st class – 84 Carl Poelath, Schrobenhausen. Early tombac construction with silver plated finish and frosted finish on top. Remains in excellent, very lightly worn to unworn condition with most of the bright frosting preserved. Maker marked with the PkZ 84 mark on the pin, excellent quality ‘Kriegsverdienstkreuz’.
