German cross in gold – C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Mid to late war cupal backplate 20 pin marked “Deutsches Kreuz in Gold”. Remains in fully unworn condition with still perfectly gilded cupal wreath and full black outer start burst. The enamel shows no wear and the white silver plated backing shows a typical dark patina from storage. Stunning textbook cross in excellent condition.
