General assault badge – Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. Early to mid war hollow Steel construction ‘Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen’ with thick silver finish. Remains in lightly worn condition with a few faint rust posts and nearly all the original finish remaining. One of the variants with the left side of the badge having no cut under the swastika. Nicely marked with the Assmann logo in the center of the swastika on the reverse. Sought after Assmann, the only GAB produced with a Steel base material.
